I agree with Albert Camus' statement, as while it is true that people can be infatuated with each other while not seeing each others' faults, I believe that it is important to acknowledge your partner's flaws, but still love them in spite of their flaws.
Nobody in the world is perfect, each person has their own faults and shortcomings. However, for love to last for a long time, one must be willing to realize their partner's flaws, and be honest about their own.
Without the understanding of the faults of one's partner, one might be hurt in the process. For example, in Charles Dickens' "Great Expectations," the main character Pip is infatuated with a girl he meets, named Estella, for a long time. He is blind to her constant insults towards him and his living situation, and ends up feeling miserable about himself for many months, before eventually realizing that she is a bad influence on him, and not wanting to be with her any longer.
In conclusion, if relationships do not have honesty and clarity, there is a good possibility that they will not work out in the end.
